6. Inland Empire

The Inland Empire (or Inland Valley) describes a portion of Southern California that lies north of San Diego County, south of the San Gabriel Mountains, east of LA county and west of the Palm Desert area - largely Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. The area is primarily residential, and a popular place to live for many Southern Californians (especially those wanting to get away from the higher costs of living in Los Angeles). Virtually everywhere in the Inland Empire is centrally located to the beautiful mountains, busy beaches, desert resorts and famous amusement parks. Because of this, residents of the Inland Empire are not wanting for things to do and see! There is also ample opportunity for work and several nationally recognized schools and high-ranking GreatSchools (www.GreatSchools.com).
